Bringing sushi to the Desert since 2010

In the Fall of 2010, owners Frankie Winfrey and Alex Borichevsky created Moab’s premier sushi bar, Sabaku Sushi.   After many years of experience with sushi and Japanese culinary, Alex and Frankie both had aspirations to open their own restaurant.  With their love of the Moab desert, Sabaku (Japanese for desert) was meant to be. 

Sabaku Sushi’s menu offers something delicious for everyone.  We are extremely gluten-free friendly, featuring gluten-free tempura batter!  Sabaku also caters to the dietary needs of vegetarians, vegans and carnivores! 

We believe that food should be delicious and exciting, while being natural and healthy.  We choose the finest, most sustainable or environmentally responsible products we can.  We offer regional and natural chicken, elk and beef as well as local, organic produce (when in season).  Our fish is flown in overnight several times a week and we feature house-made tamago and anago.

The ambiance at Sabaku Sushi is also part of the experience.  With friendly and knowledgeable staff and a hip, modern atmosphere, you are sure to enjoy your evening with us.
